| In the past we have taken some criticism for putting our retired adults up for adoption. I just want to make it clear, I can not keep them all, I can not rescue dogs and I can't help anyone out there that is needing to re-home a dog if I don't have the room. Once our dogs reach 7 years old we usually don't adopt them out or even try to, they stay here for the rest of their lives. At this time we have three Mals that are 12 years old Two Mals that are 9 years old and one that is 8 . If I don't feel that the malamute will be fit for a home environment, they stay here. I have some that will have to be on medication for the rest of their lives and would not take the chance of placing them in a home that may not give them the care that they deserve. So with this in mind. Remember that all the dogs that are placed up for adoption , are one's that I believe will make good pets. I can not specify enough the importance of taking on any dog. Puppies are great but there are so many others out there that need love also. I do hope that if you are reading this far that one of the one's above have touched your heart. Dogs are not all about making money and breeding. If you look as them at such you have lost all persecution as to what love our dogs can give us and are all about. The Alaskan Malamute may not be the dogs for you but if it is and you loved the bread please consider an adult or young adult. It doesn't take anymore time to train an adult than it does to train a puppy. Just a little stronger and heaver is all. And if you can't take on adult that is understandable. But PLEASE support local shelter. |
| I have more photos available. I just don't want to post pictures of the formal owner. Lakota is not one of my dogs, but if a friend of mine's past puppy. |
