Difference between the Alaskan Malamute and the Siberian Husky:
Alaskan Malamutes and Siberian Huskies can sometimes seem very similar. They both can
resemble in color but and some in size. But the Malamute is larger and stronger than the
husky. The malamute eyes are gold to dark brown and the malamutes should have a broader
check and can range from 23 inches in height to up to 32 inches in height. I think that
anything over 25 inches in height is considered a giant but that is a word that breeders have
use to describe the larger malamute, not a recognized breed name as some breeders try to
make other Believe there is no AKC Giant Alaskan Malamute as a Breed there is only the
Alaskan Malamute. And somewhere along the line some breeders have now picked up the
word supreme. Don' t understand where that came from either. Some breeder breed the
larger malamutes in order to produce the larger malamutes and some breed for AKC standard
size. Here at Candyrock Kennel's we breed both. In hopes to produce a large boned shorter
dog that can pull like it was intended to do.
I have put together some information that I have found on the link page. Please take the time
to check out the links.
